Hello Readers,  today we're going to see simple herbal shampoo recipes to get strong and shiny hair.

Most shampoos available in the market have chemicals which cause dryness of hair, hair loss and even allergic reaction in some people. You can make your own herbal shampoo at home without any synthetic chemicals using natural ingredients. It cleanses and conditions your hair effectively.

1. Herbal Shampoo using shikkakai

Ingredients needed

1. Sikkakai -1 kg,
2. Dried Lemon peels – 10-15m
3. Curry leaves (dried) -1 cup,
4. Hibiscus flowers (ordinary red flower alone) - 1 cup,
5. Fenugreek -250 grams,
6. Green gram – 250 grams,
7. Soap nuts (deseed it, dry it ) – 100 grams,

Preparation

• Dry everything in the sun and grind it or you can buy all these powder separately from the market, mix it and use it.

2. Herbal Shampoo using Neem

Ingredients needed

1. Neem leaves,
2. Tulsi or Basil Leaves,
3. Henna or Mahanadi,
4. Gooseberry or Amla

Preparation

• Grind a handful of dried neem leaves and tulsi leaves along with shikkakai. Since neem has powerful antiseptic properties, we’ll not get any problems related to hair.

• You can grind henna leaves and gooseberries also along with shikkakai to prevent your hair from premature greying

Tips

1. Take 2-3 tsp of Sikkakai powder, mix it with a little water and cook on low flame till it starts thickening.  Switch off and let it cool. We do this to prevent the sikkakai from sticking to our scalp.

2. As far as possible avoid washing your hair with chlorinated water or salt water. Always rinse your hair well 2-3 times in fresh water.
